The Lingenfelter Center offers palliative care to its residents.
The goal of palliative care is to keep residents at end stages of life as comfortable as possible, while supporting family and loved ones. We provide pain relief and symptom management to reduce the stress of illness. Considered to be the model for quality, compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury, palliative care involves a team-oriented approach. It is a time when comfort for both the residents and the family becomes the focus, not curing the condition.
Providing care for seniors with memory impairments can be challenging, but we create a care option that works – innovative and effective programs with multiple levels of support. We recognize that memory loss affects every resident (and their loved ones) differently, so our focus is on understanding each individual and providing care they respond to positively.
